The Ivy Edge partners with students and families to create individualized service plans designed to meet the specific needs of each student in the highly competitive college admissions process. The work is designed for maximum effectiveness to ensure that each student is competitive in selective applicant pools. Each of the service plans cover some, if not all, of the following areas:

Long-Term Engagements
All service plans offered by The Ivy Edge are long-term engagements. Each service plans ends on May 1st of the student's senior year, traditionally known as College Decision Day. The service plans are not based on billable hours and allow for flexibility of engagement; students may schedule whatever amount of sessions needed to achieve their goals.
The hours listed in the plans below assume twenty (20) weeks in an average high school semester. Students engage in hour-long sessions on a bi-weekly schedule during the engagement. Plan recommendations are based on when students and families choose to start engagements of The Ivy Edge's services.
The Tier I Plan / Tier I (Spring)*
This service plan provides students and families with eighty plus (80+) consulting hours (seventy plus (70+) consulting hours for Tier I Spring) in the college admissions process, and is designed for high school freshman or highly motivated middle school students. The focus of the Tier I Service Plans is course selection and social development, and helps students in the following areas:
The Tier II Plan / Tier II (Spring)*
This service plan provides students and families with sixty plus (60+) consulting hours (fifty plus (50+) consulting hours for Tier II Spring) in the college admissions process, and is designed for high school sophomores. The focus of the Tier II Service Plans is extracurricular activities and leadership development, and helps students in the following areas:

- establishing trust for a successful engagement;
- assisting class selection and choosing electives;
- monitoring social integration into high school culture;
- encourage involvement and participation in extracurriculars; and
- helping with relationship development & project ideation.
The Tier II Plan / Tier II (Spring)*
This service plan provides students and families with sixty plus (60+) consulting hours (fifty plus (50+) consulting hours for Tier II Spring) in the college admissions process, and is designed for high school sophomores. The focus of the Tier II Service Plans is extracurricular activities and leadership development, and helps students in the following areas:
- helping client develop passions and interests;
- advising on seeking and/or creating leadership opportunities;
- aligning academic interests with collegiate/professional goals;
- emphasizing development of service opportunities; and
- making recommendations for summer engagements.
The Tier III Plan / Tier III (Spring)*
This service plan provides students and families with forty plus (40+) consulting hours (thirty plus (30+) consulting hours for Tier III Spring) in the college admissions process, and is designed for high school juniors and college junior transfers. The focus of the Tier III Service Plans is distinguished excellence and standardized test prep strategy, and helps students in the following areas:
- assisting clients on developing list of possible colleges;
- advising on standardized testing strategy;
- encouraging pursuit of distinguishing individual projects;
- aligning coursework and extracurriculars with collegiate goals; and
- reviewing and solidifying summer plans.
The Tier IV Plan
This service plan provides students and families with twenty plus (20+) consulting hours in the college admissions process, and is designed for high school seniors. The focus of the Tier IV Service Plan is the college application process and scholarship opportunities, and helps students in the following areas:
- assisting in building college lists and college visit prep
- advising on Common App to monitor checklists & deadlines
- editing and reviewing personal statement & supplemental responses
- proofreading applications prior to submission; and
- preparing for college interviews, if needed.
* Tier I (Spring), Tier II (Spring), and Tier III (Spring) plans typically start at the beginning of the second semesters of the Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior high school years.
Hourly Engagements

College, Graduate & Professional Students
While our focus is primarily on high school students, some of our services have also been used by college students seeking their first professional job or applying to graduate or professional schools. Our services have also been used by graduate and professional students applying for jobs and/or fellowships.
