Research Programs
The Ivy Edge Research Program gives middle and high school students--ages 13 and up--the opportunity to conduct real, independent research — guided by a Ph.D-level mentor and tailored to their unique interests. Over ten (10) one-on-one sessions, students design and complete an original research project that builds critical skills, produces tangible outcomes, and strengthens their academic profile. Completed projects may be submitted for publication in peer-reviewed journals, academic competitions, science fairs, and more!
The Ivy Edge Research Core Program typically takes three to six months and includes written mentor feedback throughout the process and a guaranteed mentor match — because if students can dream it, we can match a mentor to it. Two Add-On options--Launchpad and Showcasing Support--are also available for students who want additional support. The Launchpad Add-On provides three sessions with three different mentors before the Core Program begins to refine a project's concept, feasibility, and scope. The Showcasing Support Add-On offers three sessions after the Core Program to help students identify and pursue the best options for presenting their completed work.
Near-Peer mentorship is a defining feature of The Ivy Edge Research Program. Our mentors bring Ph.D-level expertise and the perspective of someone who has recently navigated the same academic journey as their students. The result is guidance that is both highly credible and immediately relevant — delivered in an environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and doing their best work.
The services of the Ivy Edge Research Program are separate from the Service Plans of The Ivy Edge, though they may be combined into one offering. Please click here to book a Discovery Session for The Ivy Edge Research Program.
